Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale is the American basketball professional for the Dallas Wings in the Women's National Basketball Association. The basketball team she played for was the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, prior to her being picked by the Wings as the 5th overall pick of the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale, born in Milwaukee Wisconsin on March 2, 1997 to Yolanda Ogunbowale and Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale was her 26-year-old brother, and Dare Ogunbowale, 20 years older. In July 2014, she was selected to join the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale also has been named as a member of the ACC All-Freshman Team after her debut collegiate season. She was even congratulated by the legendary Kobe Bryant after she hit several big shots at the NCCA Tournament. Ogunbowale is, despite being an absolute newcomer to the basketball game, has already established herself as an elite player. She will surely succeed in her professional career.
